Pennies for Patients

Plain View Primary is collecting Pennies for Patients. Please help support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by sending in your spare change.

In the Pennies for Patients campaign, the class collecting the most change in each school receives a pizza party. Prizes such as computers, electronics and sports equipment are presented to the top schools in each area. The Pennies for Patients campaign began in the Society's North Carolina Chapter in 1995.

We will be collecting for Pennies for Patients until Friday, October 21, 2016.

Parent Survey of Title I Schools

Bladen County Schools operates 10 Title I schools: Bladen Lakes Primary School, Bladenboro Primary School, Bladenboro Middle School, Booker T. Washington Primary School, Dublin Primary School, East Arcadia Elementary School, Elizabethtown Primary School School, Elizabethtown Middle School, Plain View Primary School, and Tar Heel Middle School. As the parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school, you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the parent involvement program and activities in our schools. The following survey is confidential and will be used to assist us with planning for parental involvement activities for 2016-2017. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of the survey form and select the blue "Submit" button to complete the survey.

Give Five Read Five

Bladen County will be participating in the NC campaign Give Five Read Five. We are collecting new or slightly used books so that our children will have books to read during the summer. Fact: Reading at least five books over the summer can help students maintain reading skills while they are away from the classroom. So GIVE FIVE to help them READ FIVE this summer. Donate five (or any number) new or slightly used books for our students today! Book can be dropped off in the office today. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Inman at 910-862-2371.

BLADEN COUNTY EBOB COMPETITION

Congratulations to our Elementary Battle of the Books team! They competed with all their hearts! These students worked very hard and came in second place with 59 points. Dublin won with 60 points and Bladenboro Primary came in third place with 58 points. It was a nail biting competition! Plain View Primary is proud of our team! Team members are: Violet Allen, Alex Basilio Ortiz, Samuel Hernandez Velasquez,Kiera Lewis, Xzavion Monroe, Jessica Munoz Rodriguez,  and Samantha Zunun Gonzalez. Read Across America Day

In honor of Dr. Seuss' Birthday, we will be celebrating Read Across America Day. Our students are encouraged to dress as their favorite book character. We look forward to seeing your favorite character.

Indoor Yard Sale

We will be having an indoor yard sale fund raiser on January 30th. You may rent a booth to sale your own items or you may make donations (slightly used, like new items)  to the school for us to sale.
